    *_Position Summary:_*

     

    The registered charge nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all care for patients admitted to Med/Surg during his/her shift.

     

    *_Training and Continued Education_*

    *_Minimum Education_*

    * Graduation from a school of nursing and have current licensure as an RN.

    * One year Med/Surg experience required.

    *_Required Licenses_*

    * Current RN license required, can be compact license.

    * BLS required within 30 days of hire, or prior to completion of orientation if before 30 days of hire.

    * ACLS required within 6 months.

    * PALS required within 6 months.

    * Advanced Stroke Course preferred.*__*
