Wells Fargo’s Cyber Security unit is looking for an Information Security Senior Engineer to join our Attack Surface Discovery Team (ASD) as part of the Cyber Threat Management (CTM) organization. The position participates in the research, analysis, design, testing, implementation, engineering and support for Wells Fargo’s cyber security systems. The primary function of this position is to create and deliver content and configurations for security tools that retrieve system information from a variety of endpoints. This information will be used to identify security events, configuration changes and cyber threats throughout the network. The engineer filling this role will document requirements, develop solutions and test functions of cyber security tools before implementation. A key to success is excellent collaboration with other technical and non-technical teams to ensure a smooth implementation of all products. This is a very hands-on role that will perform advanced system troubleshooting as well as participate in security incident response and investigations.
In this role, you will:
+ Lead or participate in computer security incident response activities for moderately complex events
+ Conduct technical investigations of security related incidents and post incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategies
+ Provide security consulting on medium-sized projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards
+ Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security
+ Review and correlate security logs
+ Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity
+ Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives
+ Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
+ 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ 2+ years of experience administering and troubleshooting a large Windows enterprise desktop environment
+ 1+ year of experience utilizing PowerShell, VBScript, Bash, Perl, or Python to automate complex manual tasks
Desired Qualifications:
+ 2+ years of knowledge and understanding of business requirements gathering and translation to technical requirements
+ 2+ years of experience writing technical documentation
+ 1+ year of Splunk experience
+ 1+ year of experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) products
+ 1+ year of Tanium experience
+ Experience with endpoint security solutions at an enterprise scale
+ Experience connecting security log sources, authoring alerts and creating reports/dashboards to monitor for notable security events
+ Experience working in an environment using Agile methodologies
Job Expectations:
+ Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed or scheduled
+ Ability to work additional hours as needed
+ Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
