    Overview:

    This role supports a busy in-house legal team across a wide range of legal and risk management matters. Responsibilities include contract management, corporate governance, legal research, IP support, and general legal operations. The ideal candidate brings law firm and in-house experience, strong organizational skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Legal Research & Document Support: Draft, review, and edit memos, reports, and policies; conduct legal research using Westlaw/LexisNexis.

    + Contract Lifecycle Management: Oversee contract workflows using a CLM system; correct data errors; train users; support contract tracking, renewals, and reporting.

    + Contract Review: Independently review and redline contracts with strong attention to detail.

    + Corporate Entity Management: Maintain corporate records; support filings and renewals; manage registered agents and legal databases.

    + IP Support: Assist with patent docketing, renewals, and filings in coordination with patent counsel.

    + Risk & Insurance: Support risk management initiatives; assist with insurance renewals, certificates, claims, and audits.

    + Administrative Support: Maintain legal files, track deadlines, schedule meetings, and process invoices.

    + Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison for internal teams on legal and compliance questions.

     

    Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of combined experience in law firm and in-house legal environments.

     

    • Demonstrated expertise in managing contracts across their lifecycle and supporting cross-departmental needs.

    • Proficiency in software tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and DocuSign.

    • Hands-on experience with corporate governance and entity management processes.

    • Familiarity with case management software, billing functions, and claim administration.

    • Strong skills in communication, organization, and prioritization.

    • Detail-oriented with a positive and efficient approach to problem-solving.

    • Knowledge of tools such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) is highly desired.
