Junior Graphic Designer
Job Type: Contract
Start Date: To be determined (5–6 month contract with potential to convert to permanent)
Schedule: Monday–Friday (potential for 1-2 days remote every so often, no promises)
Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with an hour for lunch)
Overview
We are seeking a Junior-level Graphic Designer to join our in-house team. This is a critical support role, providing essential design assistance during a team member's maternity leave and potentially beyond. The successful candidate will help manage a high volume of day-to-day design needs.
Requirements
What You’ll Do
As a Junior Graphic Designer, you will play a key role in our creative output, with responsibilities including:
+ Design & Updates: Update and design a variety of materials, including presentations, brochures, and marketing collateral.
+ Video Editing: Occasionally edit short-form video content, such as sizzle reels under one minute.
+ Deliverables: Support both print and digital design deliverables.
+ Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with in-house designers and external agencies.
+ Creative Input: Bring a fresh perspective and creative energy to upcoming rebranding initiatives and presentation overhauls.
+ Innovation: Potentially explore AI-enhanced design workflows and modern design tools.
+ Continuity: Provide design continuity and support before, during, and after maternity coverage.
Who You Are
We are looking for a candidate who is:
+ Foundational Skills: A recent design graduate or early-career designer with strong foundational graphic design skills.
+ Adaptable: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
+ Organized: Able to balance multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a keen eye for detail.
+ Tech-Savvy: Familiar with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva); video editing experience is a plus.
+ Creative Thinker: Possesses creative thinking abilities and a willingness to explore new tools and techniques.
