Description We are looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to join our team in Mount Prospect, Illinois. In this role, you will play a key part in managing commercial collections, ensuring timely payments, and resolving outstanding invoices. This is a long-term contract position within the manufacturing industry, offering a chance to contribute to a dynamic and growing organization.

Responsibilities:

• Handle business-to-business (B2B) collections by following up on overdue invoices and maintaining a consistent communication schedule with customers.

• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies by identifying issues and collaborating with clients for resolution.

• Utilize online portals and accounting systems to process payments and monitor account statuses.

• Proactively manage a high volume of customer accounts, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate documentation of interactions.

• Address inbound customer inquiries regarding billing and accounts receivable processes.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline claim administration and enhance collection efficiency.

• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and provide regular updates on account statuses.

• Apply knowledge of CRM and financial software systems to improve collections processes.

• Develop solutions to reduce outstanding balances while maintaining positive client relationships.

• Provide insights and recommendations to optimize collections strategies and minimize risks. Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial collections, particularly in managing business-to-business (B2B) accounts.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems such as Accurint, ADP Financial Services, or Epic Software.

• Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and collection management.

• Familiarity with CRM systems and portal payment platforms.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for resolving payment issues effectively.

• Ability to handle high volumes of customer accounts with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Previous experience in claim administration and billing functions.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal teams to achieve collection goals.

The salary range for this position is $23.00 to $26.00. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
