Maintenance Mechanic 3 – Electrician
The Maintenance Mechanic 3 role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining production and manufacturing equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and diagnosing complex malfunctions. The mechanic interprets technical documents, collaborates with teams to plan repairs, and serves as a subject matter expert in core maintenance areas.
Functions and Responsibilities
+ Install, repair and maintain production/manufacturing equipment.
+ Inspect equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties, per manufacturer's specifications.
+ Diagnose complex equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments efficiently.
+ Interpret and follow written instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings and documents.
+ Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
+ Train others in multiple areas and on a variety of skills.
+ Collaborate effectively with others to identify, schedule, and plan repairs, maintenance activities, and project work.
+ Devise and develop machinery and equipment improvements, build or perform modifications when approved.
+ Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
+ Serves as SME in one of more maintenance core competencies to resolve complex challenges.
+ Works under limited to no oversight
+ Source parts for repair and preventative maintenance of equipment
+ Utilize CMMS software
+ Serves a project coordinator to bring in outside maintenance resources
Qualifications
+ Active 01 Electrician license preferred
+ Familiar with NFPA70E requirements
+ Willing to wear arc flash rated clothing regularly and other personal protective equipment as required
+ Responsible for performing all equipment electrical PM’s
+ Responsible for all work done on building 480V and 120V busways supplying power to plant equipment
+ Responsible for assembling and installing all busway devices
+ Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical issue with industrial equipment (both high and low voltage)
+ Familiar with industrial control systems and PLC I/O operation
+ 6+ years industrial maintenance experience required.
+ Preferred experience with forklifts and moving large equipment.
+ Requires experience in troubleshooting one or more of the following categories:
+ CNC equipment
+ Hydraulic presses
+ Vacuum furnaces
+ X-rays
+ Lasers
+ PLC’s/Electrical
+ General knowledge of codes and regulations related to equipment and facilities preferred.
+ Knowledge of shop math and precision measuring equipment.
Physical Requirements
+ Performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing and handling of material.
+ Use of protective clothing, goggles and other equipment to prevent injuries. Wearing a respirator may also be required.

The wage range for this role considers allowances for a number of factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, licensure/certifications, education and other business needs.
Competitive Compensation
+ Pay Range: Min $27.25/hour to max $43.75
