Purpose

We’re looking for a detail-driven and collaborative GIS Specialist to maintain the accuracy and reliability of our electric network model. This role plays a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance through meticulous data management and delivering spatial insights that empower teams across the organization. By building and maintaining intuitive GIS tools and applications, you’ll help drive data-informed decisions and enhance the accessibility of geospatial information.

Accountabilities

• Maintain and update the electric network model in the GIS system, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

• Generate and deliver customized data extracts and spatial analyses to support engineering, planning, and regulatory teams.

• Ensure data and reporting meet regulatory compliance requirements through robust documentation and validation processes.

• Develop, publish, and manage user-focused web maps and applications using ArcGIS Online and related technologies.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline workflows and promote GIS best practices across departments.

• Document GIS processes, metadata standards, and system updates to support transparency and continuity.

• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of GIS tools, geospatial strategy, and data quality initiatives.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Proficiency with Esri ArcGIS software suite, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.

• Experience with spatial analysis, cartography, and data visualization techniques.

• Familiarity with regulatory reporting frameworks and utility network modeling is preferred.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of Python scripting, ModelBuilder, or SQL for GIS automation and data analysis.

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

• Demonstrated passion for continuous learning and process improvement.

Compensation Data

$53,622 - $129,648 per year

_*Liberty considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education, training and skills, and geographic location. Base pay for this role is expected to fall within the mid to mid-point._
