** *LIBRARY ASSISTANT* *MONTANA STATE PRISON* *DEER LODGE, MT*** *MISSION - *Montana Department of Corrections is creating a safer Montana through Accountability, Rehabilitation and Empowerment. If you want to work making positive changes in the community the Montana Department of Corrections is the place for you! *JOB OVERVIEW* The library assistant oversees inmates and manages books in the main library and the multiple satellite library facilities. This position: * Compiles and maintains records for circulation, materials, and equipment. * Enters and updates patrons' records on computers. * Helps patrons find and use library resources and provides technical assistance when needed. * Reserves, circulates, renews, and discharges books and other material. * Processes interlibrary loans for patrons. * Catalogs and sorts books in both print and non-print materials according to procedure. * Conducts reference searched, using printed materials and in-house and online databases. *REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS* * Cover Letter * Resume * State of Montana Application Applications missing required documentation will not be considered.
