    Job Title: Materials Manager

    Job Description

    The core function of this role is the planning and control of work in process to the finished product. An effective Materials Manager will ensure that available goods can satisfy customer demand, minimize waste, manage inventory levels, and keep output aligned with the company’s balance sheet.

    Responsibilities

    + Plan material requirements, production schedules, and capacity requirements.

    + Measure operational performance against the plan.

    + Receive and distribute products.

    + Develop or maintain reports, analytics, and metrics.

    + Align demand with sourcing activities.

    + Define and execute on physical inventory and/or cycle count policy.

    + Align inventory requirements with sales and operations planning and/or the demand schedule.

    + Train and guide employees.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong communication skills.

    + Excellent organizational and project management skills.

    + Attention to detail.

    + Creative problem-solving.

    + Strategic and analytical thinking.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 1-3 years’ experience in a previous management role.

    + Experience in materials management and as a production planner and inventory controller.

    + Experience managing teams through ERP systems; Syteline experience would be beneficial.

    + Ability to make quick, accurate decisions based on information collected.

    + Demonstrated ability to problem solve.

    + Experience with ERP implementation.

    + Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

    Work Environment

    This role is based onsite and requires the ability to work flexible hours, with additional time as needed. The building houses sales, accounting, supply chain, and some engineering teams. The Materials Manager will work closely with the engineering team to ensure smooth operations through ECOs and NPIs, engaging in daily meetings. Communication with planning and warehouse teams is also a daily requirement, focusing on lead times and material updates.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $57.70/hr.
