As a Liability Claims Analyst, you will be an integral team member of the North America Claims Service Center, where our focus is to provide excellent service to our clients under their marine liability insurance program. Nacora is an international Insurance Broker who has been providing white glove risk consulting and commercial (marine and non-marine) insurance solutions, products, and services to over 30 countries worldwide since 1972. As Claim Analyst you will handle Marine Liability claims for North America, focusing on 3rd party recoveries, customer satisfaction and retention, litigation management, and risk management solutions.

How you create impact

+ Handle Marine Liability claims for North America, focusing on customer's day-to-day support, litigation management, and risk management solutions

+ Maintain the data quality of the financials, documentation and information of the Marine Liability claims through our Claims Management System and e-filing system, setting up reserves, claims negotiation, settlements, and recoveries

+ Perform active recoveries against third parties, positively affecting our Marine Liability Insurance customers

+ Ensure that all claims are handled and processed in line with the internal Claims handling operating procedures

+ Assist in conducting effective liability claim training for our internal and external customers

+ Provide day-to-day support to our main customers and their staff on claims related matters

+ Educate and make recommendations based on the policy while highlighting importance of cargo insurance and risk transfer

+ Act as main point person for claim handling within your claim handling authority

What we would like you to bring

+ 5+ years' experience with claims handling and recoveries relating to Marine Liability and familiar with the frieight forwarding industry

+ 2+ years' experience reviewing contracts for marine liability and/or insurance requirements

+ Demonstrable knowledge of Marine Liability Insurance, including International and domestic transportation laws

+ Experience communicating insurance information to stakeholders at multiple levels

+ Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access data base

+ Claim Adjuster's license beneficial, or comfortable attaining an adjuster's license within the first 3 months of employment

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
