Western Specialty Contractors is expanding our Roofing team in Austin, TX! We are seeking a hands-on Roofing Superintendent with extensive experience in commercial, low-slope roofing. This individual will be responsible for leading field operations, ensuring safe, high-quality project delivery, and handling emergency dispatching.

As a Roofing Superintendent, you will:

+ Identify existing and predictable hazards to work surroundings, including working conditions that are unsanitary, hazardous or dangerous to employees.

+ Communicate effectively to supervise employees and maintain customer relations.

+ Identify and investigate leaks, and lead and carry out patching and repair projects in all types of commercial roofs.

+ Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolds.

+ Oversee and maintain company safety requirements.

+ Other tasks as required based on business need.

Requirements

What You Bring

+ 10+ years of experience in commercial roofing

+ Proven experience managing a team and providing professional communication with customers

+ Strong background in leak investigations/roofing patch, and repairs in all types of commercial roofs, to include:

+ TPO

+ PVC

+ Asphalt BUR/Gravel

+ EPDM

+ Cold Process

+ Fluid Applied

+ Etc.

+ Sufficient reading, writing and math skills to comprehend and explain company safety policies and material instruction

+ Ability to read construction drawings

+ Must have reliable transportation and pass a pre-employment drug screen

What Will Make You Stand Out

+ Bilingual

+ Experience estimating commercial roofing projects

+ Emergency dispatching experience in commercial roofing

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Data Forma, and Edge platforms

Physical Requirements:

+ Physically, workers must be able to: Stand or walk for long periods; lift and carry materials weighing 50 pounds or more; climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects and carry tools and equipment; and see (naturally or with correction)

+ Ability to work at heights, at extreme temperatures, and to wear company's safety equipment is essential
