    Deputy Risk and Compliance Officer – Captive Insurance, Guernsey

     

    Aon Insurance Managers (Guernsey) Ltd. (AIMG) is seeking an experienced Deputy Risk and Compliance Officer to join the team. The Risk and Compliance department at AIMG provides risk and compliance services to Aon group and client entities to ensure they remain compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.

     

    This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually in Guernsey and from our office in St Peters Port, Guernsey.

    What the day will look like

     

    + Risk and Compliance: Manage and maintain compliance databases, registers and act in place of Risk and Compliance Officer when needed. Keeping apprised with regulatory updates, identify emerging risks and update policies and procedures where appropriate.

    + Financial Crime: Oversee due diligence processes, act as Deputy MLRO/MLCO, and manage financial crime procedures. Carry out any necessary reporting.

    + Data Protection/GDPR: Ensure compliance with local laws and Aon group requirements, communicate changes, liaise with data protection teams, and monitor registrations with the Guernsey Data Protection Commission.

    + Compliance Culture: Promote good corporate governance and compliance culture. Assist other department members and provide risk and compliance support to senior management and colleagues.

    + Training: Deliver relevant training and identify improvements to department policies and procedures.

    + Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with ACIM Global Compliance Team, internal stakeholders, clients and relevant law enforcement agencies.

     

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

     

    + Relevant qualifications include compliance certifications and financial services-related qualifications.

    + Proven experience in a risk and compliance function within a financial services business.

    + Experience in insurance management and/or at the GFSC is preferred.

    + Knowledge of the Guernsey financial services industry, regulatory regime, financial crime regime, and insurance industry is highly desirable

    + Skills include organizational, communication, interpersonal, and IT proficiency.
