    POSITION: Maintenance Technician

     

    DEPARTMENT: Maintenance

     

    REPORTS TO: Director of Facilities

     

    FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt, hourly

    ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Emphasis on IT responsibilities

    + Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general facility upkeep to ensure a safe and operational environment

    + Troubleshoot and resolve basic IT issues related to hardware, software, printers, network connectivity, and user support

    + Install, configure, and maintain office technology equipment such as computers, monitors, phones, and security systems

    + Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs, IT upgrades, or system installations when necessary

    + Maintain an accurate log of IT equipment inventory and assist in lifecycle management including setups, replacements, and decommissions

    + Respond to maintenance and IT service requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact

    + Collaborate with departments to ensure facility and technology needs are met and assist in planning improvements or upgrades as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    + High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field (e.g., IT support, facilities maintenance, or electrical systems) preferred

    + 2+ years of experience in building maintenance, IT support, or a similar hybrid technical role

    + Hands-on experience with troubleshooting hardware/software issues and maintaining facility systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    + Knowledge of electrical systems as it relates to maintenance.

    + Skilled in mechanical maintenance.

    + Ability to recognize and use simple hand-held, manual and power tools needed for performance of general maintenance duties.

    COMPENSATION

    Competitive wages, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.

    DeVos Place, may be required to assist at other buildings
