Definition
Under general supervision, is responsible for receiving and issuing supplies or parts and maintaining stock inventory; performs related duties as required.
Examples of Work

+ Receives, issues, and delivers supplies, parts, or tools;
+ Counts and checks incoming items against packing slips, purchase orders, or computer printouts;
+ Collects pricing and stock information from vendors prior to placing orders;
+ Posts receipts, issuances, and price changes, reconciling discrepancies with manual or computerized records;
+ Identifies and counts items for physical inventory, reconciling discrepancies with manual or computerized records;
+ Establishes storage locations for stock or new items;
+ Maintains files on vendor orders or invoices;
+ Cleans storage areas to maintain order and safety;
+ Monitors inventory levels to ensure adequate supply;
+ May operate a forklift, motorized pallet jack, hand truck, and/or appliance dollies;
+ May requisition supplies, parts, or tools through purchase orders, encumbrances, or bid sheets;
+ May verify receipt of stock prior to payment by the fiscal office.
Minimum Qualifications
Six (6) months experience receiving, handling, or maintaining inventory.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.

The names of the applicants passing this administration of this exam will be used to create aNEW, OPEN COMPETITIVE, eligible list, and willreplacethe names on the current list. If you are interested in having your name included on the new eligible list, you will need to apply for this exam within the filing period and successfully complete all phases of the testing process. Questions regarding this process can be directed to the Test Center at 614-645-7439.
The examination process will consist of a computerized exam weighted 100% covering Information Ordering, Materials Handling, Mathematics, Reading Comprehension, Problem Sensitivity, Matching, Outlook, Word and Excel 2016 and 2019 versions.
Approved applicants will be notified by mail/email of their scheduled test date and time.
All applicants must complete all phases of the testing process in order to receive a final score. The names of all candidates who pass this examination will remain on the eligible list for two years, unless the eligible list is replaced prior to or extended beyond the two years. If a candidate's name is certified and the candidate is to be considered for employment, the hiring process will include one or more interviews, a criminal background check, and a pre-employment drug test.
