    Department Details

     

    This role will manage a team of nurses and social workers who work in a variety of areas including clinics, dialysis units, and community spaces including the Micah's Mission, YWCA, and New Life Center.

     

    This position also has some unique community outreach opportunities including partnering with the FM Coalition to End Homelessness.

     

    Requirements include some travel to support the various locations that the team supports. An active driver's license is required as well as a BSN.

     

    Wage Range: $39.00-$58.50

    Job Summary

    Manages clinical and non-clinical staff and nursing activities for an assigned department, including patient care, record-keeping, budgeting, and personnel issues. Measures employee performance. Assists in the training of new staff members and the development of existing staff members. Provides nursing care to patients on an as needed basis. Serve as an active member and support to achieving clinic and clinical services strategic goals and initiatives. Serve as leadership to group/sub-groups working towards care management strategies at the local and enterprise level. Serve as nursing representation for designated programs promoting and integrating services within specific area. Oversee initiative and partnerships with identified resources working with an identified patient population for optimal outcomes.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in nursing required.

     

    Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).

     

    For Rural Health Network facilities only, employees who do not possess a Bachelor’s degree in the required field, leadership may consider an educational plan with proven continuous action toward achieving a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing within five years of hire into position. Additionally for Rural Health Network facilities, for current employees, leadership may have considered acceptable qualifications and work experience equivalency based on facility size, rural market, and business need, prior to new Sanford education requirements.

     

    Must have at least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a clinical role. Thorough knowledge of the nursing practice act and standards of nursing care, and a working knowledge of administrative and management techniques.

     

    Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Nurses performing nursing practice over the telephone require licensure in the states where the patients being served reside. Specialty certification in an appropriate field is desired such as Healthcare Quality, Case Management, Healthcare Accreditation Certification, Joint Commission, Care Coordination and Transition Management, or ambulatory care.
