Banquets Assistant Manager

**Job Purpose or Objective(s):** Oversee all aspects of a banquet, including set-up, serving, and cleanup while focusing on detail, quality presentation, customer service, and cost control. You will report to the Banquets Manager.
Primary Tasks:
+ You will review banquet event orders to determine appropriate staffing levels, room/station assignments, buffet décor and enhancements as they relate to banquets and meeting room set-ups.
+ Manage food service with front and back of the house related to banquet tasks.
+ Coordinate with Culinary Staff and other departments to ensure excellent product delivery.
+ Communicate daily activities to banquet personnel to ensure smooth transition and follow-up from one function to another.
+ Remain alert of complaints and unsatisfied guests and respond to ensure guest satisfaction.
+ You will create schedules based on and labor need to meet the guest's needs and maximize efficiency.
+ Manage the inventory, control and breakage/loss reduction of glass and silver as it relates to function services and banquet services.
+ Perform other tasks as may be assigned
Job Requirements:
+ Associates degree in Hospitality or Business Management
+ Obtain ServSafe Certification
+ Food Safe Handling License/training
+ Microsoft Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and Outlook) and Windows XP, including computer-based cash handling experience.
+ You will work well in stressful, high-pressure situations including the ability to handle guest complaints and disputes and resolve them to satisfactory results.
+ Two years banquet experience at a high volume venue
