• Journeyman Software Developer

    ManTech (Stafford, VA)


    **MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Journeyman Software Developer** to join our team in **Fort Bragg, NC** .

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    + Supports the design, engineering, analysis, and development of software systems.

    + Assists in designing and developing software delivery processes, including DevOps pipelines, and supports the modeling of software development processes and agile-informed methodologies.

    + Participates in all phases of the SDLC, writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

    + Integrates asset management tools with the ITSM platform, develops APIs and integrations, and designs data models and database schemas. They also develop data import/export routines and data cleansing processes, generate reports and dashboards, and troubleshoot software issues.

    + Provides technical support to end users and IT staff on asset management tools and processes, stays up-to-date with the latest software development technologies, identifies opportunities to improve applications and processes, and receives guidance and direction from more senior staff.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + BA/BS in field necessary to assume Software Developer duties or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree

    + 4+ years of experience with 2+ years of position-specific relevant experience.

    + Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.

    + Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.

    + Understanding of IT asset management principles and best practices (e.g., ITIL).

    Desired Qualifications:

    + Experience with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).

    + Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.

    Clearance Requirements:

    + Must have a current/active Secret clearance.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

    + Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

    + The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
