We are seeking a **CADD Specialist** to join our Louisville, KY team! Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Preparation of plans, specifications, and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D software to support various projects involving environmental remediation, water, wastewater and stormwater management systems
• Create detailed grading plans using Civil 3D grading tools, feature lines, corridors for a variety of earth work projects
• Assist with the preparation of permitting packages required by governmental entities including, but not limited to: Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection, county conservation districts, and/or local municipalities for the completion of AML projects, Oil - Gas projects, Coal Combustion Residual landfills, coal and aggregate mining projects, and site development projects
• Preparation of new details and design elements or modification of existing drawings based on redlines provided by others
• Ability to interpret and develop detailed drawings from sketches and mark ups provided by others
• Provide technical support and oversight of AutoCAD drawing production by others.
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with project team members.
• Abide by Atlas health and safety policies and procedures.
• Utilize survey data
• Complete basic calculations related to preparing civil engineering drawings
• Coordinate with other disciplines throughout the life cycle of the project
• Site construction plan production, including grading, erosion control, dimensional control, drainage, and details
• Land Development plan production, including but not limited to, plats, site design, utility design, grading, drainage plans, and details
• Infrastructure plan production, including but not limited to, roadway, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, utility plans, and details
• Place and manages file according to CAD Standards and prepares final drawings
• Utilize Company CAD standards and follows instruction per direction from the Project Manager, Engineers, and lead CAD staff
Minimum requirements:
• Associates degree in drafting, engineering technology, or similar field of study
• 5-7+ years of relevant experience with CAD production for projects involving site development, erosion and sedimentation controls, wastewater, and stormwater management systems
• Possess a high level of proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D software including but not limited to: building surfaces, grading, creating profiles and sections, developing corridors and working with styles
• Competent in working with GIS systems and other mapping software is preferred.
• Working knowledge of ESRI software such as ArcGIS is preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (including SharePoint), Adobe Acrobat Pro
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret maps and project specifications Ability to travel on occasion; and a valid driver's license
Technical requirements:
• Technical degree or certification within Autodesk Civil 3D preferred
• Experience working with Project Managers remotely for design figures, models, and creating sheets for construction sets
• Extensive experience with Civil 3D (required), including but not limited grading tools, feature lines, corridors for a variety of earth work projects. To annotation styles and annotation tools, Surfaces, Alignments, Profiles, Profile Views, Cross-sections, data shortcuts, and operations of performing Surface Analyses and Volume Calculations.
• Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD (required), including but not limited to Annotation Styles, Multileaders, MTEXT, Dimensions, Sheet Sets Paper Space / Model Space, XREFs, Layers, Dynamic Blocks, and Tool Palettes
• Working knowledge of sheet set manager is a plus
• Provide input to Project Managers for design concepts and help trouble shoot problems when they arise
Other miscellaneous qualities:
• Good communication skills, dependable, works well in a team setting and/or independently
• Accurate while working in a fast-paced environment
• Work with verbal and written directions, including emailed instructions
