Position: Traffic Engineer, Atlas Technical Consultants, LLC, Chicago, IL.

Duties: Conduct traffic studies and analyze traffic data to determine patterns and trends; develop transportation plans and design transportation systems that improve safety and mobility including but not limited to traffic signals, signal systems, ITS, signs and markings; develop traffic signal timing and programming plans; assist with the preparation of project budgets and schedules; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and community organizations; provide technical support and guidance to project teams; prepare reports, specifications, and designs for transportation projects; stay up-to-date with advances in transportation/traffic engineering and technology; conduct site visits and field investigations as needed. 10% domestic travel to field sites.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree Civil Engineering plus12 months of experience with the following: traffic engineering; technical or report writing; Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices; Microstation, Vissim, HCS, or Synchro. Also must have a Valid drivers license.
