Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in San Diego, California. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, supporting financial operations across multiple office locations. Responsibilities:

• Handle full-cycle accounts payable processes, including coding, batching, and matching invoices.

• Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate accruals in the general ledger.

• Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards, ensuring all transactions are accurate and properly documented.

• Conduct weekly check runs and manage processing of daily deposits.

• Utilize accounting software, including Tabs, to perform financial tasks with intermediate proficiency in Excel.

• Process 80-100 invoices per month and ensure timely payments.

• Collaborate with payroll and other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.

• Perform annual financial projects and assist with special assignments as needed.

• Prepare and issue checks, both manually and through automated systems.

• Maintain adherence to company policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles.

• Proficiency in using accounting software, with experience in Tabs preferred.

• Solid understanding of accruals, general ledger reconciliations, and journal entries.

• Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data organization and analysis.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of invoices (80-100 per month).

• Experience with credit card and bank statement reconciliations.

• Ability to perform weekly check runs and manage daily deposits efficiently.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with various departments.
