Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Medina, Ohio. In this role, you will play a key part in managing essential accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy of financial operations within the construction industry. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team while enhancing your expertise in construction accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice review and timely payments.

• Perform job costing tasks to track project expenses and profitability.

• Handle billing activities, ensuring accuracy and timely invoicing.

• Manage accounts receivable, including tracking payments and resolving discrepancies.

• Assist in month-end close procedures to prepare financial reports and reconciliations.

• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between financial records and bank statements.

• Create and post journal entries to maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.

• Support construction-related accounting processes and cost tracking. Requirements • Proven experience in journal entries and general ledger management.

• Strong understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Proficiency in bank reconciliations and month-end close procedures.

• Knowledge of job costing and construction accounting practices.

• Familiarity with tracking construction costs and project expenses.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.

• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
