Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Seattle, Washington. This role involves working within the finance sector, where the main duties will revolve around handling customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving inquiries. As part of our team, you will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions.

What You'll Be Doing:

+ Review and process customer credit applications with precision

+ Maintain and update accurate customer credit records

+ Ensure accuracy in invoice preparation, with a focus on billable time tracking

+ Assist with internal reporting: work in progress, P& L, authorizations, and more

+ Collaborate with operations to deliver financial data for court filings

+ Help prepare budget estimates for upcoming projects

+ Monitor and manage project budgets and align expectations with clients

+ Support accounts receivable follow-ups and client communication

+ Identify and drive workflow enhancements and process improvements

+ Utilize skills in Excel formulas, adjusting journal entries, general journal entries, and collections

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics

+ 2-5 years of prior experience in a finance or accounting-related role

+ Solid understanding of Accounting principles and GAAP

+ Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel and Access

+ Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical abilities

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to manage multiple projects with strong follow-through and timely execution

+ Proactive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

+ A team player who thrives on collaboration and shared success
