Description
Responsible for the management of the Counseling and Career Preparation Programs (CPP). Provides oversight of student counseling services and individual student case management to ensure student progress, retention and completion of the Job Corps program. Partners with OA and CTS staff to ensure student transitional support during the OA/CPP and CTR/CTS phases of Job Corps. Works closely with the Social Development department to ensure seamless case management services to students. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.
Bachelor’s degree (including at least 15 semester hours in Social Services-related instruction) from an accredited school required. Master’s degree from an accredited school preferred. A minimum of two years of experience in program management and direction. Substantial experience working with youth. Prefer Job Corps or related program experience.Supervises and manages the Counseling & Career Preparation Programs and staff.

Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 15 semester hours in social services-related coursework is required.
+ Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Education, or related field is preferred.
Experience:
+ At least two (2) years of experience in program management, counseling services, or student development required.
+ Strong background in working with youth in educational, residential, or vocational settings.
+ Experience with Job Corps or similar federally funded programs preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
+ Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills.
+ Excellent interpersonal and counseling skills.
+ Knowledge of trauma-informed care and positive youth development principles.
+ Data-driven mindset with the ability to monitor performance and ensure program compliance.
+ Proficiency in using case management systems, student information systems, and Microsoft Office.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
Working Conditions:
+ Full-time position in a residential training facility for youth ages 16–24.
+ Work may involve exposure to emotionally sensitive or challenging situations requiring sound judgment and professionalism.
