    Responsibilities

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The incumbent serves as clerical support for the clinic which includes registering and scheduling patients. Incumbent provides clerical support to the department in regards to billing questions and clinic specific patient care and financial programs. In addition, the incumbent will process patients in a timely

     

    manner to keep the flow of patients moving efficiently and on schedule and alerts clinician of any patient in distress. The incumbent may have access to third party credit card information and transactional systems (cash registers, point of sale devices, applications supporting credit card applications, and reports or other documents contained in credit card information) and will ensure that appropriate organizational procedures are followed.

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    + Two years recent outpatient medical clinic clerical experience (may waive based on acombination of education/training)

    + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, medical terminology, CPT, ICD-9, and HCPCS required

    PREFERRED:

    + Working knowledge of clinic based patient care programs preferred

We are designated as a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital and are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health care Organizations. In addition to our acute care hospital we also own and operate three Rural Health Clinics providing walk-in immediate care as well as scheduled appointments for routine medical needs.

    Pay Range

    $24.00 - $25.72 /hour
