    Job Title: Safety Consultant for Construction Projects

    Job Description

    Join a dedicated team responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of construction projects. This role involves implementing safety guidelines, conducting audits, and maintaining communication with the project team and trade partners to uphold a strong safety-first culture.

    Responsibilities

    + Implement the project's safety guidelines, site-specific safety plan, and client-specific safety requirements.

    + Coordinate with the regional safety lead to ensure availability of necessary safety signage and PPE.

    + Confirm that all personnel scheduled to work on-site have completed the required safety orientation training.

    + Gather and organize documentation from subcontractors and trade partners, including Job Hazard Analyses, Safety Data Sheets, High-Risk Activity Plans, and training certifications.

    + Conduct daily safety audits using the designated digital platform and share findings with the project team.

    + Submit a minimum of two Safety Observation Reports per week.

    + Engage with crews and monitor safety practices, spending 60–70% of time in the field.

    + Attend and contribute to daily huddles, coordination meetings, foremen’s meetings, and preconstruction meetings.

    + Lead or support weekly all-hands safety meetings, including preparation of materials and attendance tracking.

    + Spot-check safety documentation during site visits and review project-specific safety documentation.

    + Notify the project team and regional safety lead of any incidents or near misses and assist in incident investigations.

    + Conduct site-specific safety orientations for all trade partners and maintain regular communication with subcontractor safety representatives.

    + Participate in or lead planning meetings for high-risk activities.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum 5 years of safety experience in construction, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

    + Safety certifications such as CHST or CSP.

    + Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 8–10 years of safety experience preferred.

    + Experience supporting data center construction projects is strongly preferred.

    + Excellent communication skills across all levels of project teams.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in commercial building construction will be considered.

    + Proactive, reliable, and able to support and align with the project schedule.

    + Flexibility to accommodate project needs and extended hours.

    + Must pass a background check and Drug/Alcohol test.

    Work Environment

    Candidates must be able to work between 40-50 hours per week, starting as early as 5:00 or 6:00 AM. You will remain on-site during all active construction hours and be flexible to accommodate extended hours if necessary.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
