Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for assisting in the repair of machinery throughout the facility. They will perform installations, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and respond to maintenance calls.

Responsibilities

+ Repair and maintain conveyors, heat sealers, and dryer systems.

+ Perform installations and preventative maintenance on machinery.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues with HMI’s, shaker systems, and pumps.

+ Work with pneumatic systems and PLC’s, including handling high voltage electric systems (480V).

+ Respond promptly to maintenance calls and ensure efficient machinery operation.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in hydraulics, troubleshooting, and mechanical repair.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.

+ Experience with hand and power tools.

+ Electrical knowledge and repair capabilities.

+ 1-3 years of industrial maintenance experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Comfort with high voltage systems, specifically 480V.

+ Experience with HMIs and PLCs.

+ Mechanical skills, including working with pumps, conveyors, and bearings.

Work Environment

Work in a 3,2,2 shift pattern with options for both day (7am to 7pm) and night (7pm to 7am) shifts. Training will be provided on the first shift for 6 weeks before transitioning to night shift. The work environment is hot and dirty, aligning well with backgrounds in farming or outdoor work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
