CAH-Quality Assurance –Infection Control RN – Full Time-Day Shift 8am to 5pm -Req 8793

Pay Range $39.93-$52.90*

To assist with the promotion, guidance, education, and coordination of the facility’s Infection Control Program. Surveillance, prevention, and control of both community-acquired and nosocomial infections will be monitored and reported as necessary to assure compliance with all Federal and State regulations. To assist in the promotion of quality care, risk management, and performance improvement within the Infection Control Department and the facility.

Qualifications:

+ Current licensure as an RN in New York State required.

+ Minimum of 5 years’ experience in acute care facility.

+ Certification in Infection Control preferred.

+ Ability to interact and communicate effectively, orally, and in writing with various age groups, primarily adults and with various internal and external customers and suppliers.

+ Knowledge of regulatory requirements of NYSDOH, JCAHO, and OSHA.

+ Knowledge of hospital epidemiology and employee health.

+ General knowledge of age specific needs, from newborn to geriatric.
