Summary You will serve as an ELECTRONICS MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Responsibilities You will review assigned job orders, workload data, plans, specifications, sketches and instructions. You will plan weekly and monthly work schedules and worker assignments. You will plan sequence of work operations for subordinates and any special work methods to be used. You will coordinate availability of any special tools, materials, equipment, and assist help required. You will instruct workers on proper work methods and difficult work operations. You will resolve working problems and take action to overcome bottlenecks, equipment breakdowns, material shortages and other delays. You will inspect work for quality and conformance with instructions and specifications. You will provide guidance on performance of calibration measurements. You will maintain records of subordinate’s time and manhour charges to assign job orders. You will be responsible for personnel management tasks normally delegated to first-line supervisors to include on-the-job training, rating employee performance, and approving leave.
