Description

We are looking for an experienced remote part time Payroll Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will manage payroll operations for multiple companies, ensuring accurate and timely processing for both hourly and salaried employees. This position is critical to maintaining compliance and efficiency within our payroll department.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for several companies, covering a total of 300+ employees, including hourly and salaried staff.

• Manage weekly, bi-weekly, and other payroll schedules to ensure timely and accurate payments.

• Handle payroll deadlines every Wednesday and ensure all submissions are completed efficiently.

• Perform clean-up tasks to streamline payroll operations and maintain accuracy.

• Collaborate with the payroll department team to ensure smooth operations during the contract period.

• Utilize payroll software systems such as ADP Workforce Now, and UKG to manage payroll tasks.

• File and pay payroll taxes in compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Monitor and address multi-state payroll requirements to ensure compliance.

• Maintain meticulous records and documentation for payroll audits and reporting purposes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing for companies with over 300+employees.

• Proficiency in multi-state payroll operations and compliance.

• Hands-on experience with payroll software, including ADP and UKG.

• Strong knowledge of payroll tax filing and payment procedures.

• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage weekly schedules.

• Advanced skills in Excel for payroll calculations and reporting.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
