Description
We are looking for an Accounts Receivable/ Billing Clerk to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. The role involves ensuring accurate and timely billing processes while supporting financial operations and maintaining compliance with client contracts.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, review, and deliver client invoices in accordance with established procedures and client contracts.
• Communicate effectively with Executive Assistants, Officers in Charge, and Project Managers to address billing inquiries and ensure smooth processes.
• Process write-offs and obtain necessary approvals in a timely manner.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and handle ad hoc requests related to invoicing.
• Collaborate with project teams and financial administration to address and resolve complex billing issues.
• Monitor unbilled invoices, identify potential concerns, and recommend reserves when appropriate.
• Assist with accounts receivable and collections activities to maintain financial accuracy.
• Report billing and accounts receivable concerns to the AR & Billing Manager.
• Participate in special projects related to billing and financial operations.
• Ensure compliance with organizational procedures and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2-3 years of experience in time/expense management and fixed-price billing, including e-billing systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word, and familiarity with Oracle or similar billing software.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting strict deadlines.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail to address billing and receivable challenges.
• Interest in continuous process improvement and problem-solving within financial operations.
