    Description

    We are looking for a part-time Accounts Receivable Clerk to manage financial transactions and ensure accuracy in accounts. This is a Contract position located in Eugene, Oregon, within the transport industry. The role requires expertise in handling collections, cash applications, and account adjustments.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process and record accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate entries.

    • Apply cash payments to customer accounts while maintaining detailed records.

    • Post payments and refunds, ensuring compliance with company policies.

    • Conduct account adjustments to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate balances.

    • Generate and send invoices for billing purposes in a timely manner.

    • Prepare and issue refund checks as necessary to customers.

    • Monitor and report on aging accounts to support collection efforts.

     

    Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role.

     

    • Strong knowledge of cash applications and payment posting.

    • Familiarity with billing functions and commercial collections.

    • Ability to handle account adjustments and resolve discrepancies.

    • Proficiency in managing refunds and issuing checks.

    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial data.

    • Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
