Job Title: FPGA EngineerJob Description
As an FPGA Engineer, you will be instrumental in creating firmware designs for FPGAs and SOCs to support embedded projects. You will work from customer requirements to determine system and hardware needs, design and simulate solutions, integrate and troubleshoot, and document all designs thoroughly. Your expertise will contribute to developing and documenting digital designs in a RTCA/DO-254 process environment, ensuring robust and validated hardware and firmware requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Create firmware designs for FPGAs and SOCs for embedded projects.
+ Work from customer requirements to determine systems and hardware requirements and design.
+ Design, simulate, verify, integrate, troubleshoot, and document designs.
+ Develop and document digital designs in RTCA/DO-254 process environment.
+ Write, review, and validate hardware and firmware requirements.
+ Design, code, and test designs for FPGAs and SOCs.
+ Support software and hardware interface designs to the FPGAs in development.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in VHDL and Verilog.
+ Expertise in networking protocols.
+ Software and firmware development for FPGA.
+ Knowledge of Ethernet protocol programming and communication.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Familiarity with programming languages used in verification, such as C/C++ or scripting languages like Python.
+ Experience with virtual processors, such as Xerox MicroBlaze.
+ Understanding of CAN communication protocols.
+ Ability to perform electronic schematic design.
Work Environment
This position is primarily onsite, allowing for one work-from-home day per week. The role involves working on a highly exciting project with the Army, providing a unique and stimulating work environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $75.00/hr.
