    Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Operations and Infrastructure Manager who is innovative, driven, and passionate about serving the community! We’re seeking a dynamic IT leader who brings a rare blend of strategic insight and hands-on technical acumen. This individual excels at guiding high-performing teams through the complexities of hybrid-cloud environments, enterprise infrastructure, and evolving public-sector demands.

    The Enterprise Operations and Infrastructure Manager:

    + Leads a team of nine (9) individuals with diverse and complementary technical skills to support a technology and hybrid-cloud infrastructure that includes Azure, AWS, disk storage, servers, data network, Wi-Fi, directory services, email, phone system, voicemail, security (scanning, filtering, proactive threat protection), public safety radio, and audiovisual services for 205 lines of services spanning 20+ locations.

    + Plans the IT Enterprise Architecture for the organization to include the evaluation, selection, budget, procurement, implementation, maintenance, and audit of IT infrastructure to ensure it is both secure and sustainable.

    + Manages projects to ensure proper equipment is procured, project planning is adequate, change control is followed, and customers are communicated with clearly.

    + Coordinates the work of the team with each other, other teams in IT, vendors, employees and ensures proper change control and communication is practiced.

    + Develops and maintains the IT Enterprise Architecture plan to ensure IT systems are properly designed, sustainable, and secure.

    + Recommends changes to strategy based on emerging technology and changing needs of the organization.

    + Forecasts future changes to contracts and infrastructure and prepares budget projections and requests.

    + Maintains a thorough knowledge of IT infrastructure connectivity, interdependency of systems, and impact of infrastructure components on business delivery to be used when troubleshooting failed systems.

    + Prepares, critiques, and implements organizational and departmental policies, procedures, and goals.

    About You

    + Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Engineering or Business Administration

    + Eight years of progressively increasing IT infrastructure experience (hybrid-cloud, disk storage, directory services, server, email, security, etc.)

    + Five years of project management experience working with many concurrent projects

    + Three years of supervisory and leadership experience

    + Two years of budget and financial management experience

    + Valid Arizona Driver License

     

    The ideal candidate for this position has a working knowledge of supervisory, leadership, and critical thinking skills. You’re right for this role if you know budget preparation, financial management, and procurement. Required skills for this position include project management, change management, data networks, directory services, and security best practices. Excellent communication skills are needed including written, oral, and presentation.

     

    This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt - ineligible for overtime compensation. This position requires a pre-employment physical and/or drug screen

     

    This position has been identified as an eligible position for a Hybrid work agreement. Modified work privileges are approved at the sole discretion of the department director; as such, the department reserves the right to modify or discontinue modified work arrangements at any point. Regardless of work location (Remote, On-Site, or Hybrid) Town of Gilbert employees are required to reside in the state of Arizona.
