PURPOSE:
This role is critical to supporting and advancing our core platform operations by ensuring the stability, scalability, and modernization of the Facets ecosystem. The Facets Engineer will play a key role in integrating core systems with cloud-native technologies, enhancing application performance, and enabling seamless data exchange across the enterprise. This position helps bridge legacy system capabilities with modern infrastructure and integration strategies to support ongoing business transformation and consolidation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Support and enhance Facets platform operations across configuration, administration, and integration areas. Design and implement scalable solutions on Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). Leverage Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment automation.
+ Develop, manage, and troubleshoot APIs and FXI integrations with external and internal systems. Utilize Dynatrace for proactive monitoring, logging, and performance diagnostics.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive automation, system hardening, and modernization efforts. Provide advanced support for production issues.
+ Ensure security, compliance, and system availability in a regulated healthcare environment.
+ Collaborate with DBAs and data architects to implement best practices.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Position does not have direct reports but is expected to assist in guiding and mentoring less experienced staff. May lead a team of matrixed resources.
QUALIFICATIONS:
**Education Level:** Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Licenses/Certifications Preferred:
+ ITIL Foundations v3 within 180 Days
**Experience:** 5+ years of hands-on experience with Facets (TriZetto) platform - configuration, support, and troubleshooting. Strong technical experience with Cloud-native services (AWS/Azure preferred). Hands-on experience in Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with FXI/EDI Interfaces, API Gateway, and RESTful API Integration. Knowledge of Dynatrace, Splunk, or other monitoring/logging tools. Strong SQL, Scripting, and automation experience. Deep understanding of healthcare payer systems, claims, and membership workflows. Familiar with HIPAA, PHI handling, and compliance practices. Experience of Agile/Scrum practices and tools like JIRA, Confluence.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with Infrastructure as Code. Exposure to microservices architecture and API security models.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
+ Knowledge of programming languages and web-based technologies.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
+ Ability to collaborate to solve technical problems across teams.
+ Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
+ Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
**Salary Range:** $96,552 - $191,763
