A global financial services team is seeking a **Mendix Lead Engineer** to drive the design and delivery of scalable low-code applications supporting trading, investment management, and asset allocation workflows. Responsibilities
+ Lead architecture, design, and development of Mendix-based applications for complex front-office use cases
+ Work closely with portfolio managers, traders, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
+ Oversee a team of Mendix developers, ensuring adherence to low-code development best practices
+ Integrate applications with internal platforms and external data providers
+ Ensure application performance, scalability, and security
+ Implement CI/CD pipelines, support testing strategies, and conduct code reviews
+ Act as the bridge between business and technology teams
Requirements
+ 5+ years in software development, including 3+ years of hands-on Mendix experience
+ Strong understanding of financial workflows: trading, portfolio construction, or asset allocation
+ Leadership experience in low-code delivery teams or projects
+ Mendix app lifecycle and microservices architecture
+ REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven architectures
+ SQL databases, real-time data processing
+ Security, compliance, and auditability within financial systems
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to have
+ Prior integration with market data platforms or financial decision engines
+ Exposure to model-driven workflows
+ Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., NAIC, Solvency II, SEC, FINRA)
+ Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes)
+ Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe)
+ Experience with other low-code platforms (e.g., OutSystems, PowerApps)
