The OpX Strategy & Transformation project leader drives execution of critical strategies for AVL, on both micro and macro scales, through effective project management. Aligning with AVL leadership, this individual ensures planned timelines and actual(s) align for desired capacity uplifts, new product/part and new equipment introductions for production requirements.
What You Will Do:
+ Lead strategic planning & execution for short to medium term strategies and projects (1 to 3+ years) for AVL.
+ Ability to manage and influence cross functional teams indirectly.
+ Activities include new equipment starts, line optimizations/improvements and new product introductions.
+ Harmonize functional resources across projects through prioritization and direction.
Owns the following related to strategic planning and execution;
+ Project management functions and tools; Gantt Charts, PERT, critical task outlines, layouts and diagrams, budget tracking, Risk matrix and SWOT visuals.
+ Compliance to start up life cycle plan from PO to operation hand off through L1 schedules and IMS (integrated master scheduling).
+ Presentations and report out status of current initiatives and tasks on rolling 12-month horizon or longer.
+ Coordinate across all AVL disciplines and support functions to ensure target dates are met through comprehensive project management.
+ Organize and manage primary and sub tasks between functions for success.
+ Synchronize on timing, demand, and capacity for new design and/or new product introductions to AVL.
+ Support business case development (white papers, IRR’s, NPV’s) and capital budget management.
+ Work together with IE & CORE Mgrs for manufacturing standards, SIOP/capacity forecasts, and long-term strategies.
Qualifications You Must Have:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
+ Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and adaptable to changing priorities.
+ MS Office suite with strong skills in PowerPoint, Project and Excel.
+ Strong project management skills.
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ Ability to prioritize many details into a broad view for the total organization.
+ Translate multilayer projects and tasks into risk based status updates (Scope, Cost, Time).
+ Ability to work effectively with other site functions, engineers, technicians, operators, and management.
+ Executive communications and presentations.
+ PMP, CAPM or related certifications.
+ CORE Champion.
+ Experience with MRL processes and standards.
+ Understanding and familiarity with Right to Run, EMOC, FAI and similar NPI related actions.

This role is:
**Onsite:** Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
