    + The Specialist/ Sr Specialist, Human Factors & Behavioral Reliability is part of the Safety Division. This role will play a critical role in bridging the gap between humans and systems by analyzing how users interact with products, environments, and technologies to optimize safety and performance supporting cross-functional teams for the company’s daily operations

     

    What you'll do

    + Evaluate human-machine interactions to optimize system performance and usability

    + Collaborate with design, engineering, and product teams to implement user-focused solutions

    + Analyze user data to identify pain points and recommend enhancements to interface design and user workflows

    + Support risk assessments, workload evaluations, and scenario modeling to anticipate and mitigate potential issues

    + Develop standards and guidelines for user interface (UI) design and human-system integration

    + Document findings and present actionable insights to cross-functional stakeholders

    + Design and deliver training programs on human factors principles and best practices to reduce errors and improve safety

    + Create communication strategies that reinforce safety messaging and encourage positive behavioral change

    + Ensure compliance with relevant human factors, ergonomics, and industry regulations, and communicate necessary updates across teams

     

    All you'll need for success

    Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    + Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Psychology, Engineering, or a related field

    + 3 years of experience in human factors, behavioral reliability, or a related field

    Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    + Master's degree in Human Factors, Psychology, Engineering, or a related field

    + 5+ years of experience in human factors, behavioral reliability, or a related field

    + Experience working with internal and external partners to align teams, clarify strategies, and ensure shared understanding of goals and impacts

    Skills, Licenses & Certifications

    + Proven ability to manage large, complex, and multi-phase projects, including fast-tracked initiatives

    + Demonstrates a mindset of continuous improvement and encourages innovative thinking, intelligent risk-taking, and application of human performance principles

    + Adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity and change

    + Energetic, forward-thinking, and confident in challenging assumptions to drive meaningful results
