Position Summary:
As the Lead Supply Planner for a Nestlé Health Science business unit, you will oversee all aspects of supply planning, ensuring effective management of finished goods to meet targeted service levels while optimizing inventory and minimizing waste. By fostering strong relationships with manufacturing partners, you will develop supply plans that balance cost efficiency with market demand responsiveness.
You will manage both short-term and long-term capacity planning, collaborating closely with factories to proactively identify and address potential capacity issues. Your role is critical in achieving customer service and time objectives within financial constraints, ultimately supporting the company's marketing and financial goals.
This position will be either a remote or hybrid role based on the selected candidate’s geographic location. Preference will be given to applicants who live within a commutable distance of Bridgewater, New Jersey/Tri-State area, Chicago, Illinois, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and/or within the Long Island, New York areas.
Responsibilities:
+ Manage and recommend decisions for balancing supply needs across all available sourcing locations (factory, co-manufacturer)
+ Responsible for setting, reviewing, and maintaining safety stock policy by sku to meet agreed upon customer service level objectives while minimizing associated working capital costs
+ Manage bad goods in the P&L by closely monitoring any risk of ageing stock, communicate with the commercial team to align on potential actions to mitigate financial risks, and propose preventive actions to minimize future occurrence
+ Manage our inventory for salvage selling and potential salvage views of our inventory
+ Manage dwell time of inventory appropriately
+ Continually reassess current inventory management processes and propose and lead new planning methods and/or tool
+ Identify and analyze build stock needs and timing based on production availability and strategic decisions, while communicating to the appropriate stakeholders
+ Manage the frequent communication with the cross functional team on product availability and critical items, highlighting risks of customer shortages, back in stock projections, root cause of the issue, and preventative actions to avoid future reoccurrence
+ Present supply outlook (days on hand, service levels, projected future working capital, factory performance) and any strategic plans for the 18month rolling horizon as well as supporting the long term supply outlook to NHS leadership and other stakeholders
+ Support innovation project needs, providing supply outlook and setups
+ Responsible for gathering all necessary inputs from other Operational functions that impact the supply outlook
+ Lead the budget planning and target setting activities
+ Optimize, review, and propose meeting structures and contents to ensure alignment with Manufacturing and other Operational functions.
+ Manage and responsible for weekly production reviews with Manufacturing (Factory, Co-Manufacturer)
+ Manage and responsible for coordination with the QA team on effective and timely product release, while prioritizing products as necessary
+ Lead monthly production reviews with Manufacturing
+ Lead Monthly Business Planning meetings (availability reviews, business reviews, etc.)
+ Manage communication and flow of transitions amongst various Supply planners affected by major sourcing changes and projects
+ Developing the network of Supply Planning by leading and actively presenting in Supply Planning functional meetings with other business units to share experiences and contribute in defining company-wide best practices
Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree, strongly preferred
+ 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain roles
+ Leadership experience in one of the preferred functions: Demand & Supply Planning, Supply Chain Development, Procurement, Physical Logistics, Customer Service, Sales & Marketing, and Finance
+ Proficiency in supply planning tools and software, such as SAP APO (Advanced Planning and Optimization) and/or OMP
+ Proficient in Excel with expertise in advanced formulas, data analysis, and modeling
+ Nice to have: Experience with Foreign Trade
Skills:
+ Ability to analyze data and interpret trends to make data-drive decisions
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Proven ability to work independently, effectively managing time and prioritizing tasks to deliver quality outcomes with minimal supervision
+ Must be detail oriented and organized
The approximate pay range for this position is $110,000- $122,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
