    Responsibilities

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our Medication Adherence team, focusing on medication adherence initiatives for Medicare Advantage members. This role supports our patients by engaging directly with patients to identify and overcome barriers to medication compliance. You will play a key role in improving patient health outcomes, reducing hospitalizations, and supporting CMS Star Ratings goals for our Medicare Advantage population.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Conduct outbound calls to Medicare Advantage members to assess medication adherence and address non-compliance.

    + Educate patients on the importance of taking medications as prescribed, and resolve adherence barriers (cost, access, understanding).

    + Document member interactions in appropriate systems with accuracy and clarity.

    + Collaborate with pharmacists, providers, and health plan partners to facilitate medication access and ensure continuity of care.

    + Use pharmacy management software and electronic health records (EHRs) to support accurate, compliant documentation and communication.

    + Assist in tracking and improving Part D adherence metrics (e.g., PDC for Diabetes, Hypertension, and Statin measures).

    + Support special projects and campaigns as needed to promote health outcomes.

    Requirements

    Licensure / Certification / Registration:

    + One or more of the following required:

    + Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed. Must possess all state and local qualifications.

    + Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Must possess all state and local qualifications. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.

    Education:

    + High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

    + Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

    Additional Preferences

    + Active and in good standing: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA.

    + 5+ years of pharmacy experience, preferably in a retail, mail-order, or health plan setting.

    + Proficiency in insurance claim adjudication, including troubleshooting and prior authorization processing.Strong understanding of Medicare Part D and medication adherence quality measures.

    + Experience working with Medicare Advantage plans or health insurers.

    + Familiarity with STAR Ratings programs

    + Prior experience in cold calling or telephonic outreach, especially in a patient engagement or care coordination capacity.

    + Customer service-oriented with a patient-first mindset.

    + Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and empathy.

    + Comfortable using multiple systems and handling a fast-paced workflow.
