Description We are looking for a skilled Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join our team on a contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. This position involves a blend of corporate transactional work and litigation, offering an opportunity to work on diverse legal matters. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting attorneys by managing foundational tasks and ensuring the smooth progression of legal processes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with corporate transactions, including representing clients in buying and selling dealerships.

• Prepare and organize annual reports, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

• Draft and review contracts, operating agreements, and leasing documents.

• Handle default motions and other litigation-related filings.

• Form legal entities and prepare associated documentation.

• Attend virtual litigation sessions to support legal proceedings.

• Collaborate with attorneys to finalize transactions and address basic-level legal tasks.

• Straighten out contracts and resolve discrepancies.

• Provide generalist legal support across various practice areas. Requirements • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate transactions and litigation.

• Proficiency in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and legal agreements.

• Familiarity with preparing annual reports and legal filings.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.

• Experience with virtual litigation sessions and basic legal entity formation.
