Description A National Healthcare Company is seeking a skilled Remote Hospital Medical Collections Specialist to join its dynamic healthcare organization. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the hospital's revenue cycle management by handling medical collections and efficiently resolving account discrepancies. Key Responsibilities: Manage the hospital’s medical collections process for outstanding claims and payments. Review and process claims using UB-04 (CMS-1450) billing forms. Investigate and resolve claim denials following payer guidelines. Conduct appeals for denied claims and effectively manage the resolution process. Communicate clearly and professionally with insurance companies and other third-party payers. Verify patient payment responsibility and ensure proper reconciliation of financial accounts. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation within electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Requirements Requirements:Experience: Minimum of 2 years in hospital medical collections, with an emphasis on UB-04 forms and denials management. Knowledge: Strong understanding of healthcare billing and coding, payer rules, and revenue cycle workflows. Technical Skills: Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Certifications (Preferred): Certified detail oriented Biller (CPB) or other equivalent credential. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
