Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting the overall accounting operations of the organization. This position is based in Philomath, Oregon, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic business services environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

• Manage the general ledger and ensure all accounts are properly reconciled.

• Perform detailed bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

• Oversee revenue recognition processes in compliance with accounting standards.

• Utilize Sage 100 software for accounting tasks and reporting.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis.

• Monitor and address discrepancies in financial data to maintain integrity.

• Generate periodic financial reports to support decision-making and compliance.

• Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.

• Leverage Microsoft Excel for data analysis and advanced reporting tasks. Requirements • Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar accounting role.

• Proficiency in Sage 100 and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Strong knowledge of journal entries, general ledger management, and reconciliations.

• Familiarity with revenue recognition principles and practices.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.

• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
