    Description

    Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounting Clerk to support accounting functions for our clients. In this role, you will handle complex clerical tasks, assist with financial reporting, and ensure accuracy in the company’s day-to-day accounting operations. This position is perfect for professionals who have strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Process and review accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions, ensuring accuracy and documentation compliance.

    + Handle general ledger entries and ensure proper coding for journal adjustments.

    + Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate reconciliation files.

    + Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.

    + Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoicing and billing discrepancies.

    + Reconcile vendor accounts and manage statements for outstanding balances.

    + Support payroll and tax operations when necessary by verifying data and preparing reports.

    + Assist in documenting and improving accounting processes and internal controls to ensure efficiency.

    + Provide support to senior accounting staff and management as needed.

    Requirements

    + 3+ years of accounting and clerical experience is required, with a preference for candidates who have worked in a senior or similar role.

    + Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.

    + Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite is preferred. Intermediate-advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP) are a must.

    + Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to multitask. A solid understanding of GAAP principles is a plus.
