Description We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Cypress, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and driving process improvements. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review month-end journal entries and reconciliations to ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards and internal policies.

• Maintain and verify the accuracy of the general ledger and financial statements by investigating variances and resolving discrepancies.

• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide necessary documentation for external audits, including financial, tax, and workers’ compensation audits.

• Research and resolve complex accounting issues to ensure transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with relevant regulations.

• Apply lease accounting standards by preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and ensuring proper classification and reporting of lease obligations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and other key accounting tasks to support a timely and accurate financial close.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and contribute to the enhancement of audit procedures and reporting processes. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• A minimum of 3 years of experience at a mid-sized manufacturing/distribution firm

• Advanced knowledge of U.S. accounting standards, including GAAP.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in Excel.

• Experience with a major ERP such as GP, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP
