Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a dynamic construction company based in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and financial operations who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The position involves working closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective management of accounting processes. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including timely processing of invoices and payments.

• Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

• Handle payroll processing and ensure adherence to company policies.

• Conduct job costing to support project budgeting and profitability analysis.

• Assist in developing and maintaining budgets and forecasts to guide financial planning.

• Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting processes and workflows.

• Provide support for audits and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.

• Travel to client sites as needed to manage accounting tasks and build relationships.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience in financial statement preparation, account reconciliation, and payroll.

• Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.

• Ability to travel to various client sites; must have reliable transportation.

• Familiarity with job costing and budgeting processes.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
