Description We are looking for a skilled Contracts Administrator to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in managing legal and operational aspects of contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various departments to support contract negotiations, monitor obligations, and maintain accurate documentation.
Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and revise contracts such as lease agreements, purchase and sale agreements, deeds, financing documents, and service contracts in collaboration with external counsel.
• Organize and maintain comprehensive records of contracts and related documentation, ensuring secure storage and accessibility.
• Conduct due diligence on property titles, zoning regulations, and environmental factors to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Coordinate the closing process by preparing checklists, reviewing settlement statements, and ensuring all necessary documents are complete.
• Monitor compliance with contractual terms and conditions, addressing any issues or disputes that arise.
• Assist in ensuring corporate governance compliance through proper filings and documentation.
• Manage lease abstracts, amendments, estoppel certificates, and communication with tenants.
• Generate periodic reports detailing contract statuses, milestones, and performance metrics for management and stakeholders.
• Identify and address risks related to contractual obligations, including potential legal and financial exposures. Requirements • At least 5 years of experience in contract administration or legal support.
• Strong knowledge of real estate and corporate law.
• Experience with corporate governance and compliance.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a proactive approach.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
