What you would be doing in this role:
Under the general supervision of the Manager, Gift Administration, the Donor Services Associate, Gift Administration, provides gift administration, processing and posting of all types of philanthropic gifts to Cedars-Sinai. In addition, the Donor Services Associate is responsible in maintaining quality, accuracy and implementation of current and future Development Operations Business Rules.
+ In coordination with other members of the gift administration team, timely and accurately enter all types of gifts, payments, and pledges and constituent data into the database. Make gift adjustments.
+ Enter and update donor constituent information into Raiser’s Edge. Understand the business rules and policies/procedures pertaining to data and relationship management.
+ Assess gift conditions and evaluate gift placement (i.e. fund/account) recommendations to accurately reflect donor intent for appropriate fund and account designation in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.
+ Follow the daily gift administration process from “gift intake to finalization” (i.e. gift collection, gift review and categorization, tracking, batches, commitment, system scripts, receipting, etc.).
+ Handle entry of complex and sensitive commitments (i.e. planned gifts, wires, pledges, etc.).
+ Import files of gifts, pledges and payments into the database.
+ Communicate with donors, as necessary, regarding inquiries/commitments and with a high level of customer service.
+ Work efficiently and effectively autonomously within the team and as an individual.
+ Complete standard receipts, acknowledgments and reminder processes, as needed or directed.
+ Assist in the application of operational business rules and follow business processes to ensure quality (i.e. utilization of gift date, appeal, campaign, fund, etc.).
+ Liaise with Advancement team members, CS partners regarding gift administration inquires.
+ Timely filing and/or archiving of gift information and backup documentation.
Qualifications
Requirements:
+ High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
+ A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
+ Experience with Raiser's Edge highly preferred.
Skills Sought:
+ Computer, data entry and/or accounting background.
+ Basic financial knowledge including billing information.
+ Knowledge of stocks and bond transaction procedures.
+ Skills in working independently, be resourceful and capable of making decisions.
+ Ability to handle a high volume of work while maintaining accuracy and adjusting to changing workload during peak periods.
+ Ability to be flexible and cooperative in a collaborative, fast paced, donor-centered and dynamic environment.
+ Excellent communication skills in handling external clients, Board members, and inquiries from the public.
+ Experience with Raiser's Edge or other fundraising database system essential.
+ Professional experience providing customer service and problem resolution.
+ Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office products.
