An RGP Client and Faith-Based Organization is looking for an Interim Staff Accountant to work HYBRID THREE (3) DAYS PER WEEK at the RGP Client site in WASHINGTON, D. . This role is expected to last six (6) or more months.

The Interim Staff Accountant will execute day-to-day Accounting and Financial Close responsibilities in a manual, non-automated environment, including:

+ Ensuring Proper Non-Profit and/or GAAP Accounting

+ Recording Accounts Payable Activity

+ Booking General Accounting Journal Entries

+ Performing Month-End Close Activities

+ Performing Account Reconciliation and Account Analysis

+ Recording Cash Transactions

+ Creating Documentation for Desktop Accounting Procedures

+ Automating Processes where possible

+ Performing Financial Statement Variance Analysis

+ Bachelors or other Advanced Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related Discipline

+ CPA designation is a plus.

+ Minimum of 5 years experience working in a hands-on Accounting Function

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and/or Non-Profit Accounting

+ Significant experience working in a Non-Profit, Faith-Based Company, Small Company or Start-Up Company

+ Strong Excel, Financial Systems and Data skills, including Process Automation experience

+ Strong Accounting Documentation Skills.

+ Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to be Proactive and Self-Directed

+ Desire to work within a mission-driven Faith-Based Organization.

+ Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.

+ Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.

+ PAY: TARGETED RATE IS $70 PER HOUR USD; PAY IS COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE.

+ ROLE REQUIRES HYBRID 3 DAYS AT THE CLIENT LOCATION IN WASHINGTON, D. .
