Job Title: CNC Mill Operator - 3rd Shift - Up to $23/hr

Job Description

As a CNC Operator, you will work in the CNC department focusing on horizontal mills. You will be responsible for machining steel parts that contribute to the company's end products, ensuring high-quality standards through precise measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

+ Operate CNC machines, specifically horizontal mills, to machine steel parts.

+ Load and unload steel parts from the machine.

+ Create in-house parts for the building of end products.

+ Conduct quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure accuracy.

+ Follow work order and print instructions meticulously.

+ Monitor machines and make adjustments as necessary.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of CNC operating experience.

+ Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

+ Ability to work independently during the 3rd shift.

+ Capability to lift 50 lbs unassisted.

+ Experience with hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Fanuc controls on a horizontal mill.

+ Ability to perform set-ups and changeovers.

+ Skill in making tool changes and adjusting speeds and feeds.

Work Environment

This is a mid-size manufacturing company with a focus on machine building. The facility has a cleaner environment with an older building style. The company operates on a 4-10's schedule with a 1st and a 3rd shift, and training will be on the day shift for 2-3 months. The 3rd shift starts on Monday night, allowing employees to enjoy full weekends with their families. Dress code includes tasteful shirts and jeans, with no steel toe boots required. Employees can listen to music with one earbud while working.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hicksville, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
