Job Description
The 7thJudicial District of the Iowa Judicial Branch has an opening for a District Court Administrator in Scott County.

The pay range for this position is $93,163.20 - $148,824.00 annually, paid on a bi-weekly basis. The starting salary is expected to be at the base of the pay range. Adjustments may be made if the successful applicant has relevant experience. This position is an FLSA exempt, non-contract position.
Summary
Responsible for the district court administration and judicial operations to advance the Iowa Judicial Branch’s mission, values, and goals.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
Direct operations through subordinate managers, supervisors, and staff. Enforce personnel
policies and procedures. Represent management in employment relations matters.
Ensure compliance with all District Court Administration general duties in Iowa Code §602.
Implement standards, priorities, mission, values, goals, and objectives of the Iowa Judicial Branch.
Lead continuous improvement in management concepts, court performance standards,
professional development, workforce management, and Iowa Judicial Branch culture.
Analyze statistical data and reports on the operation of the district courts. Manage effective
problem-solving, solution development, and implementation.
Develop and lead continuous modernization and innovation of district court operations.
Effectively manage district resources, budget, staffing, and financial operations.
Direct large and complex projects from conception to completion.
Lead district community engagement efforts and initiatives. Manage positive public relations.
Other duties as assigned.

This is a non-merit position with the Iowa Judicial Branch . Candidates must follow the instructions in the "To Apply" section.
Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise
Minimum Qualification Requirements
The incumbent must meet the minimum requirements to qualify for the position.
+ Bachelor's degree or be a Certified Court Executive (CCE) or Certified ICM Fellow from the National Center for State Courts.
+ Four (4) years in a professional-level management role.
Experience may be substituted with relevant education on the basis that successful completion of thirty (30) semester hours or academic equivalent equals one year of experience.
Additional Requirements
The Chief Judge of the judicial district shall appoint this position and may remove the administrator for cause per Iowa Code §602.1214.
